“Good things come to those who wait, but only those things left by those who hustle.” – Abraham Lincoln
Sorry Mr. Tolkien for copying the title of your most magnificent third book of the LOTR series but I just had to, because I’ve always been inspired by the stories and somehow they’ve always helped me dig myself out of holes I quite often fall into.
I just realized that I started this blog somewhere in 2008 when I was 19 years old. The last time I posted was in 2016 when I was 27 and now it’s 2020 and I’m nearing the age of 31. I’ve grown mentally and physically but really I’m still the same. I’m glad that I’ve been able to maintain my core identity, principles and convictions all these years. To that point, I’ve also maintained a lot of my vices and faults – which is fine, I’m only human.
But to celebrate my return to my dear blog and my few readers, here’s a poem from the Eeshan of old.
As freedom draws you closer to fate
You start seeing the path to the gate
Through which you shall pass unseen
Like an insignificant human being
You are but stardust and one with a heart
You are but a child always at the start
Don’t move forward, Don’t move back
Just float and watch the boat in the sea
Let the current take you to your destiny
As always, most of my poetry makes sense only to me so please don’t mind. But let me know if these words evoke something in you for that is the purpose of poetry.
You’ll be seeing more of me for sure. The (still self-obsessed but not narcissistic) King has surely returned.
