Eeshan Srivastava

Hi! I’m Eeshan. Thanks for visiting this site.

I currently lead a data science team at Starbucks focused on AI/ML, personalization, and experimentation.

Been in the field for 12+ years across engineering, data science, and technical leadership. CS undergrad, MBA. I don’t have any ex-FAANG, or Ivy League credentials. Just passionate and creative guy.

I’ve always been a builder and early adopter since the days of receiving trial software in free CDs in Chip magazines (yeah, that far back!).

With a little help from the super-autocomplete tools, I’ve been building projects that combine data science, AI, and a bit of gamification to keep things fun.

I’m not a hype-follower, so a lot of my content is about testing new technologies and seeing what remains after the hype cycle passes. Which is why I’m particularly passionate about Local AI — models that run on your own devices, with full data ownership and fine-tuned control over model behavior.

My hope is that each project and post is useful, and teaches you something.

All my work is open source and non-commercial. If you learn by building too, feel free to follow along on my Substack.

In my free time, I enjoy kickboxing, painting, reading, and basketball. I am also a Ravenclaw.
